Przejście od napędzanych ropą pojazdów do samochodów elektrycznych na pewno pomoże złagodzić problem zanieczyszczenia powietrza na terenach miejskich.
Jednak samochody elektryczne nie rozwiązują wielu innych problemów związanych z użytkowaniem samochodów – dotyczy to korków i zapychania ulic, wypadków, zdrowia publicznego, czy zajmowania przestrzeni na parkingi.
